Global solidarity with Palestine on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

Author: International Relations Committee of the CC of UTS

The Union of Socialist Youth strongly expresses its solidarity with the Palestinian people and unequivocally condemns the genocide, military occupation, and colonial practices that continue to bring destruction, famine, and death to Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. No ideology, geopolitical justification, or international alliance can legitimize the killing of civilians, the bombing of vital infrastructure, or the collective punishment of an entire population.

We firmly support the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including:
– the right to self-determination,
– the right to freedom and sovereignty,
– the right of refugees to return to their homes.

These rights are non-negotiable, and any just and lasting solution must begin with their full recognition.

We demand international accountability and an immediate end to the siege on Gaza. The protection of civilians is not a political choice but a moral and legal obligation. Stopping the bombings, ensuring unconditional humanitarian access, and ending mass atrocities are urgent necessities.

We stand with global movements resisting apartheid, colonialism, and oppression — from student encampments to peace organizations, trade unions, and communities worldwide calling for justice for Palestine. Their struggle is part of the broader fight for a fairer and freer world.
